Mechanical Engineering

Course Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)

Mechanical Engineering, the most diverse branch of conventional engineering that encompasses areas like dynamics, manufacturing processes, fluid mechanics, design, systems modeling and simulation, mechanics of material, robotics and lots more.

The Mechanical Engineering Department of HKBK, one of the reputed Engineering Colleges in Bangalore, boasts of its well equipped laboratories that have state-of-the-art machines and equipments. There are foundry equipments for melting of materials in the department and are used for research and development of new metals. The CAD/CAM lab of the department is equipped with sophisticated CAD/CAM and Solid Edge software to cater to academics, research and analysis in the field. Apart from these, the department has all the latest state-of-the -art testing equipments that are necessary for testing various Mechanical properties of materials.

Our classrooms confirm with the AICTE norms and are equip with audio/visual aids. The students of our college are exposed to the latest software, essential for Mechanical Engineering application. Under the ISTE students’ chapter of the department, seminars, lectures and workshops on the latest trends and developments in this field are organized on a regular basis. The students of our college have worked on some projects that have earned us the repute of being one of the best mechanical engineering colleges in Bangalore. We owe it all to the dedication, hard work and sincerity of the students and the faculty of the department.

Eligibility

Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories
